When we were beginning to discover the world of specialty coffee, the diversity of flavors, processing methods, and origins was equal parts exciting and overwhelming. In the midst of this overwhelming new world we found ourselves falling in love with one particular origin that our local coffee shop carried. Coffees coming from the Jinotega department of Nicaragua impressed us with flavor profiles that were balanced enough to be consumed all day long, while also exciting enough to remind us what made specialty coffee so amazing. So we knew that when we launched Krewe Coffee we would have to source coffees from this region for our menu, and today is that day.

This Pacamara coffee comes from our new importing friends at Gold Mountain Coffee Growers, who are also a social enterprise seeking to use coffee as a means of community development. The Pacamara variety is a low-yielding coffee that is known for its large bean size and high cup quality that was the result of crossing the Pacas and Maragogype varietals. As a result of its low yield, this coffee is a collaborative work of several farmers that are part of Gold Mountain Coffee Growers network. This collaborative work has produced a coffee that consistently displays notes of juicy apple and honey sweetness combined with a smooth body.

All coffee is roasted to order every Monday and shipped out on Tuesday. Orders received on Monday will be processed the following Monday.
